Legacy of the Lakes Museum The other unofficial start to summer! Join us as we celebrate opening for our 2019 season on Wednesday, May 22. New exhibits for this year include a showing of artwork from local artist, Charles Beck, as well as vintage race boats from the 1920s-1930s in the North Gallery.

Explore the fun and challenge of drawing from observation. This class explores the tradition of nature journaling. If you want to develop skills to draw what you see, using pencil, watercolor, ink, we will learn about line, form, space, value, composition, perspective and proportion. Classes will be held at the Legacy of the Lakes Museum and possible other excursions in and around the museum. Each month the museum will have a fun, lake-life craft you can create and take home! Gyotaku is the traditional Japanese method of printing fish. Learn about the ancient practice and create your own prints to display at home.
