Success with Seeds
Success with Seeds: Learn useful methods and techniques for starting seeds indoors. You can get an early jump on the season, have many more choices of varieties, and have many more plants. Legacy of the Lakes Museum The other unofficial start to summer! Join us as we celebrate opening for our 2019 season on Wednesday, May 22. New exhibits for this year include a showing of artwork from local artist, Charles Beck, as well as vintage race boats from the 1920s-1930s in the North Gallery.

Explore the fun and challenge of drawing from observation. This class explores the tradition of nature journaling. If you want to develop skills to draw what you see, using pencil, watercolor, ink, we will learn about line, form, space, value, composition, perspective and proportion. Each month the museum will have a fun, lake-life craft you can create and take home! Gyotaku is the traditional Japanese method of printing fish. Learn about the ancient practice and create your own prints to display at home. Experience in the beautiful gardens of the Legacy of the Lakes Museum. Local artist Leanne Larson will give relaxed step-by-step instructions as we paint the setting we see with our own eyes! Get outdoors and experience plein air painting! All painting supplies are provided including use of a standing retractable easel that can be lowered for sitting.
