Yoga in the Gardens
Yoga has so many health benefits for mind, body and spirit...especially in the beautiful gardens at the Legacy of the Lakes museum! Yoga equally strengthens and stretches, increasing flexibility and repairing muscles. It’s all about relaxing and allowing yourself and your body to have as much relaxation as you want. Each month the museum will have a fun, lake-life craft you can create and take home! Canoes have been a way to get from here to there for thousands of years. Legacy of the Lakes Museum board member and boat expert Dave Bortner will present a talk revolving around the design and engineering in race boats in conjunction with our Golden Age Race Boats exhibit. Explore the fun and challenge of drawing from observation. This class explores the tradition of nature journaling. You will develop skills to draw what you see, using pencil, watercolor, and ink. Maritime Heritage Minnesota'a Ann Merriman and Christopher Olson will detail their findings from side and down imaging sonar surveys, underwater archaeological dive reconnaissance projects, Minnesota small craft and dugout canoe studies, and log books digitization.
