Kids can get their feet wet in the time-honored tradition of model boat building in this class. We’ll be using beginner level model boat kits geared towards kids ages 10 & up. A fun and new creative program this summer from the Legacy of the Lakes Museum. Captain’s Quarters will take place Wednesdays* through August in the BoatHouse from 10 am-11 am. This craft and hands-on learning filled hour is perfect for pre-school to second grade aged children and is free, with no registration required! *There will be no Captain’s Quarters on June 24, July 1, July 15, and July 22.

Now, for our 20th anniversary season, we're throwing it back to this iconic event with a Saturday concert featuring, you guessed it, Boats, Blues, and BBQ. Kids won’t be running around in circles after this class. Participants will learn about the ways people navigated over time, both on land and water, and DIY their own compasses.
