SUMMARY:History 250 Trivia: Round Two
DESCRIPTION:Raise a glass to 250+ years of American history-Round Two! Join Douglas County Historical Society and Legacy of the Lakes Museum for a fun\, fast-paced trivia night featuring fascinating facts\, friendly competition\, appetizers\, and a cash bar. Come for the drinks\, stay for the history.\n\nTeam registration (up to 8 individuals) is $300\, while individuals can register for $40 and be placed on a team. People registering together will be placed on a team together or you can request to be with other individuals registering separately (if not enough for a team). Registration comes with one free drink ticket and complimentary appetizers (spectator tickets do not come with free drink ticket).\n\nEvening will start with a brief cocktail period from 5:30 to 6:00 pm\, with trivia starting at 6:00 pm. We will have a brief intermission halfway through\, then finish up the night at approximately 9:00 pm.\n\nTickets by clicking here!\n\nOptional Bailouts will be available to purchase during the game\, including Phone-a-Friend ($20)\, Make Any Question Multiple Choice ($20)\, or Ask Staff for the Answer ($50).\n\nThis is a joint fundraiser for Douglas County Historical Society and Legacy of the Lakes Museum.

DESCRIPTION:It's the most magical\, wonderful time of the year! Parade of Trees kicks off on Friday\, November 27\, part of the annual Christmas in Alexandria extravaganza! The best part? This event is free and open to the community to enjoy.\n~NEW THIS YEAR~\nThe holiday trees decorated by local businesses\, clubs\, and organizations will be displayed inside the Main Museum (205 3rd Ave W)\, plus we'll have kid's activities brought to you by the Legacy of the Lakes Museum and Runestone Museum. The BoatHouse has become our designated "Warming Shack\," where you'll find our free hot cocoa bar and s'more supply station\, along with hot soup and grown up hot cocoa (21+\, $5).\nThere's so much to see and do\, check out the breakdown below!\n\n~In the Museum~\nHoliday Trees\nView the holiday trees decorated by local organizations. Vote for your favorite. Voting is optional and done through cash donations. Whether it is $0.25\, $1\, $5\, or $20\, any amount is appreciated. This year\, funds will go towards the restoration of Stella\, the museum's 120-year-old motor launch\n\nKid's Crafts\nHoliday and Christmas themed crafts\n\nBlack Friday Deals\nBlack Friday deals in our museum gift shop and on museum Family Memberships\n\n \n~In the BoatHouse~\nHot Cocoa Bar\nCustomize your hot chocolate with your favorite toppings\n\nGrown Up Hot Chocolate\nA little something extra to keep you warm. 21+\, $5\n\nS'mores\nToast your marshmallow to the perfect degree and enjoy\n\nHot Soup\nWarm up with delicious soup provided by the Depot Smokehouse and Tavern. SUMMARY:Parade of Trees-Tree Viewing
DESCRIPTION:With the move of Parade of Trees into the Main Museum\, it gives us the opportunity to leave the holiday trees up longer for people to enjoy. The trees will be available to view for free during November 28-December 20\, Fridays-Sundays\, 5:00-8:00 pm. This coincides with the Garden of Lights from the Friends of Christmas occuring in the museum's Legacy Gardens.\n\nThey can also be viewed during the museum's holiday gift shop hours during the week (M-F\, 10:00 am-5:00 pm).\n\nPlease note that voting for your favorite tree will end on Sunday\, November 29.
