Sailor School
Sailor School is a 3-hour camp that will teach students the skills an experienced sailor needs aboard a ship, from knots to navigation and more in between. A mid-morning snack will be provided. Grades 3-6 | $19 Register here

Urban Boat Builders will be on site in the museum for a paddle making class. You will choose your own design from traditional paddles— Beavertail, Ottertail, Algonquin or Voyageur, and you’ll choose which types of wood to use. Over the course of 3 days, you will shape the paddle—the same way artisans have been making paddles for centuries. No previous woodworking skills are required and all tools will be provided. Join us in the Legacy Gardens with the Douglas County Library for free story time, perfect for ages 2-5. Stories start at 10:00 am. In case of rain, story time will take place in the museum.
