Classic Boat Show
Save the Date for our annual Classic Boat Show on July 9 and 10, 2021! We'll be back at Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center on Lake Darling after having to change our plans last year due to COVID. Join us for our first Music in the Gardens of the season with Kelley Hunt! Gates open at 6:00 and the music starts at 6:30. Scott Henderson from Sauk Centre One Watershed/One Plan will give an overview talk on the Sauk Centre Watershed project and what to expect for the Long Prairie River project at the Legacy of the Lakes BoatHouse on Monday, July 12, at 7:00 pm. You won’t be running around in circles after this class. Participants will learn about the ways people navigated over time, both on land and water, and then make their own compasses. Finally, the class will go on a compass scavenger hunt around the museum. Ideal for Grades 3-6.

One Shoe Canoe 5K Fundraiser benefitting the Runestone Museum Foundation and Legacy of the Lakes Museum. Sign-up now and complete this 5K on water at your own pace between July 23 and August 1. Canoe, kayak, or SUP your way around our lakes to benefit your local museums. Proceeds will be split evenly between the two museums. Back by popular demand, the Chain of Lakes Boat Parade will be July 31st! At 11 am, a collection of vintage and classic watercraft will leave from Arrowwood Resort and move counterclockwise around Lake Darling before heading to Lake Carlos and Lake Le Homme Dieu. Its our last Boat Parade of the season! Captains will meet on the Le Homme Dieu side of the Carlos/LHD bridge and travel around Lake Le Homme Dieu starting at 11.
