Together with our special event coordinator, Creations, An Event Studio, we are hosting a garden-party style events expo in the Legacy Gardens to showcase the Gardens as a unique setting for weddings and other gatherings.  See displays and demonstrations from local bridal shops, salons, photographers, and more.  Sample delicious food from area caterers who will also have adult beverages for purchase. Live music starts at 6:00 pm! Admission: $10 at the door First 150 get a FREE swag bag!

Community Read Event – 1987 Univeristy of Minnesota Rowing Team Presentation

Join the Alexandria community this summer in reading and celebrating Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown, the story of the 1936 U.S. men’s Olympic eight-oar rowing team. As part of this community-wide event, the Museum is hosting a presentation by members of the University of Minnesota’s 1987 rowing team. They will speak to the obstacles and surprises they faced in an upstate New York regatta. More information to come. Community Read is a collaboration of Douglas County Library…
