Water Fowl Excursion
The Legacy of the Lakes Museum and the Prairie Lakes Audubon chapter have teamed up to present Water Fowl Bird Watching. This is a free event, but space is limited so advance registration is required. Visit https://lolm.betterworld.org/events/water-fowl-excursion to reserve your spot! We're partnering with Douglas County Parks and Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center to provide a paddle excursion on Lake Brophy on August 3! It's the perfect chance to get out and paddle, see the lake, and learn a little lake history along the way. There are two time slots available, 6-7 pm and 7-8 pm. Join us Monday, September 19th at the Legacy of the Lakes BoatHouse as Tim Schoonhoven and Todd Holman present on the Alexandria Nature Trail. He is lead engineer working with the Nature Conservancy to preserve and protect a corridor from I-94 to Lake Le’ Homme Dieu.
