Guided Galleries
Exclusive guided gallery tours with our curator and other local guides. Tours last 1.5 hours and give a more in depth look at the museum's exhibits. For guests 21 and over, a glass of wine is included in the ticket price. Tickets are $12 at the door. Museum members free! Save $2 on tickets by reserving your spot early! Join us for Story Time in the Gardens with local author Debbie Hoven! This is a free event and great for elementary aged children and families. Story Time starts at 10:00 am in the Legacy Gardens behind the museum. In the event of rain, Story Time will move inside the museum. This event is made possible through a grant from the Tahoe Maritime Foundation.

Children’s Make-n-Take: Gyotaku Printing August 15, 2023 | 10:00 am – 11:30 am Legacy of the Lakes BoatHouse Suggested grade: 2nd-6th $5 Gyotaku is the traditional Japanese method of printing using fish. We would like to invite your club, organization, or business to decorate a holiday tree with a theme of your choosing for display in the BoatHouse on the Legacy of the Lakes Museum campus during Christmas in the Fort (November 24). There is no fee to participate and the trees will be viewed by thousands over the Thanksgiving weekend, where people will vote for their favorite tree. Brought to you by the Friends of Christmas, Garden of Lights is a walk-through festive light display in the Legacy Gardens (205 3rd Ave W) that will run the length of the holiday season. Garden of Lights opens on November 24 from 3-6 during Parade of Trees and Christmas at the Fort. From November 25-December 31, the Gardens will be open from 4:30 to 8:00 pm, Thursday-Sunday.
