Music in the Gardens-Joyann Parker
It's the last Music in the Gardens of the season and we're thrilled to welcome back Joyann Parker to the Legacy Gardens! Gates open at 6:00 pm and the show starts at 6:30. Gar Wood seating gets you next to the stage with a chair provided. Grasslands seating is bring your own chair or blanket. Its our last Boat Parade of the season! Captains will meet on the Le Homme Dieu side of the Carlos/LHD bridge and travel around Lake Le Homme Dieu starting at 11. Join us at the museum for a Gallery Talk with Blondo Consulting, who were contracted by the museum to fulfill a grant-funded research project into the history of Alexandria Boat Works. Join us for our final Gallery Talk of the season when we are joined by John Finkle of Noatun Community Wooden Boat Works, the builders of the museums fearing boat. He will take us through his process for building the faering with traditional tools and materials. This event is free and open to the public. Twenty-nine of the paddles on display have been donated to the museum to be auctioned off in a fundraising auction. Funds raised from the auction go towards exhibit development, educational programs, and care of the museum collection. The auction will be online between October 20 and 22, 2021. Join us for Parade of Trees on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 3 to 6 pm. Dozens of trees decorated by local clubs, businesses, and organizations will be on display in the BoatHouse. Enjoy free hot cocoa while supplies last from Caribou Coffee North and vote for your favorite tree. The holiday spirit continues at the Runestone Museum. Follow the lighted path for more holiday cheer and activities at Christmas at the Fort!

Sign-up today to carve, paint, burn, or sculpt a wooden paddle for our 3rd Annual Pledge-a-Paddle Community Art Contest! The museum provides the paddle, you provide the art.
