Community Read: Tea Party and Garden Tour

Tea Party

Find your pretty hats and join fellow Community Read participants for a lovely tea party!  Enjoy the beauty of the Legacy Gardens, proper and dainty dishes, and have some fun with the traditional Victorian meaning of flowers. You will be introduced to the garden tour of flowers and information about the language of some of the varieties.  The self guided tour with garden guide will remain open the rest of the summer.

Register online with Alexandria Community Education by clicking here or by calling 320-762-3310, extension 2.

Join the Douglas County Library, Friends of the Library, Alexandria Community Education, and the Legacy of the Lakes Museum for a summer of fun activities celebrating our community-wide reading of “The Language of Flowers.” The themes in the book that we will explore through a wide variety of enrichment events include the traditional Victorian meaning of flowers, foster care, and the beauty of gardens.
