Boo Boats
Come to the museum on Halloween for a unique and completely free trick-or-treat experience. Kids in costume travel from boat to boat inside the museum, collecting candy from costumed volunteers. Part of the Downtown Alexandria Halloween Event!

A free presentation on the SS Edmund Fitzgerald, from its launch and years of service on the Great Lakes to its final voyage. The presentation will end with a naming of the sailors lost and a moment of silence. The presentation will take place on Tuesday, November 10 at 6:30 pm at the Legacy of the Lakes BoatHouse (205 3rd Ave W, Alexandria, MN).

It's the most magical, wonderful time of the year! Parade of Trees kicks off on Friday, November 27, part of the annual Christmas in Alexandria extravaganza! The best part? Find out more »Parade of Trees-Tree Viewing
With the move of Parade of Trees into the Main Museum, it gives us the opportunity to leave the holiday trees up longer for people to enjoy. The trees will be available to view for free during November 28-December 20, Fridays-Sundays, 5:00-8:00 pm. This coincides with the Garden of Lights from the Friends of Christmas occuring in the museum's Legacy Gardens. They can also be viewed during the museum's holiday gift shop hours during the week (M-F, 10:00 am-5:00 pm).…
