DESCRIPTION:Get ready for Family Day at the Legacy of the Lakes Museum and Gardens featuring musical guests The Teddy Bear Band!\n\nThe day kicks off with free admission to the Legacy of the Lakes Museum starting at noon. Children's author Kathy Groth will do readings of her book\, "Sunken\," at 1\, 2\, and 3 pm. At 2 pm\, there will be kids' activities and demonstrations\, including face painting\, a Lego boat building contest\, and more! The music starts at 4:00 and features a panda on drums!\n\nHungry? No problem. Flavor Shack food truck will be on site starting at 2:30\, serving up great food for the whole family. There will also be free snacks and beverages inside the event\, including our icicle tricycle\, popcorn\, and cotton candy.\n\nKids 17 & under are FREE to this concert. Adults are $20 and museum members are $10. Tickets can be purchased online at https://lolm.betterworld.org/events/family-day or at the museum.\n\nRefunds on tickets are only available until 5:00 pm on Saturday\, June 4\, 2022. SUMMARY:Kid's Lego Boat Building Contest
DESCRIPTION:In conjunction with our June 5th Family Day Event\, the museum is hosting a Lego Boat Building Contest for kids 17 & under!\n\nWe invite kids to build a boat creation out of Legos and bring it with them to Family Day. The boats will be displayed throughout the event and a winner will be chosen by a panel of judges made up of Legacy of the Lakes Museum board members. SUMMARY:Stuff-N-Fluff at Family Day
DESCRIPTION:New to Family Day this year! Stuff-N-Fluff will be set up inside the museum from 2-5 pm so kids can make their very own stuffed friend before the Teddy Bear Band concert.\n\nStuff n Fluff Workshop is a mobile teddy bear workshop\, where kid’s bring their beary own stuffed animal to life.\n\nDuring the stuffed animal FUNshop\, kids hand-stuff their own plush pal\, then make a wish on a rainbow star before tucking it safely inside their new friend!\n\nSmall (8") animals are $20\, Large (16") are $25. A portion of the proceeds benefit the museum!
